Home money making opportunities

Because of past experiences, many people may not realize that there are still opportunities to make money from home. Choosing the right opportunity is up to the individual, but you should first review the available venues and methods for making your income from home. Whether you prefer to do things with your hands or your mind, or both, you can find the right opportunities by thinking about your likes and dislikes as well as your strengths and weaknesses. Opportunities expand as the marketplace expands. In fact, sometimes a product that would not be economically viable in a physical storefront will do just fine as a home business opportunity.

Sales

When you choose sales as your primary means to make money from home, it is often the first venue that comes to mind. There are many different types of products or services that you can sell in order to earn income. You can choose to warehouse the product inventory yourself, or to have it drop shipped from a distributor. If you are selling a service, you won’t require an inventory. Instead, you are selling some service that you provide. This can be anything from repairing a book binding to translating a written document. You provide the product and the customer provides the payment.

Creative

Although you may make money from home by selling tangible products, you can also do quite well financially by selling the products of your mind or your imagination. You can design websites, or write articles. You can assist others to define their ideas and philosophy of their business or products. Describing products is another way to earn an income from home. Anything that requires you to make use of your imagination or creativity can be considered an intellectual property. Each website or article you create is unique and can be an opportunity to present exciting and unique creative products.

Marketing

Perhaps you have chosen to help others market their products or services. When you make money from home using this method, you will need to be knowledgeable of such things as search engine optimization, keywords, and adwords concepts developed by Google and other search engines. Marketing is also about writing creative and compelling copy for websites so that customers gain the benefit of increased sales. Techniques of how links work on the internet and other advanced marketing techniques will be translated into dollars and cents for your customers and will enhance your reputation as a home business provider that gets the job done.

Indirect or passive income

Yet another way to make money from home is by making use of indirect income or passive income. For example, you can use click-through links to popular web sites. You can create adword campaigns that can be very effective and profitable too. The income is not from sales of a product, but by popularity of a keyword or phrase that you have controlled. Other people make use of the sale or rental of advertising space on a popular website. Sometimes control of a domain name is enough to bring the owner a nice residual income.

With Make Money or Make Money from Home, you know you have the location for all the best money making resources on the internet. Picking the best resources according to your preferences and interests is much easier when you have this comprehensive listing of the possibilities. Also Get a Free report to learn more.

Make Money From Home – Getting Started With a Free Report

Filed in: makemoney by admin on 01-20-10

Planning how to make money from home is easy if you logically consider all the important factors that can affect your success.  Even if you think about what to do if you don’t realize anything about a troublesome issue in advance will help you to stave off disappointment or even disastrous problems. You’ve probably realized that there are many benefits to working from home, but you will also need to decide which type of work you can do best and what aspects you need to avoid. If you are working at home mainly for financial reasons, you will also want to consider realistically how much you can make and whether that figure will be enough to support your needs.

Picking a venue

An important factor in learning how to make money from home is picking the correct type of work for yourself.  If you pick something that you are uncertain about, you may get lucky, but you are just as likely to hate what you are doing. On the other hand, if you select work that you have had experience in previously so that you know what is involved, you will be able to make a choice based on information, not wishful thinking.

Benefits of Home Based Work

When you set out to make money from home, you are probably able to define many benefits for your change of venue. You certainly will save on some of your transportation expenses, particularly if you have to travel any distance to reach your corporate job. You may find that you will save money on clothing, child care, food and just the miscellaneous expenses that can add up when you work outside the home. Intangible benefits include the ability to set your own hours and to work at times that are convenient for your schedule.  You don’t have to answer to any boss except the clients you develop during the course of your work.

Do’s and Don’ts

Getting ready to make money from home requires that you pay attention to some common sense do’s and don’ts, no matter which type of work you decide is right for you. For example, do be accurate in all that you do.  You may not have anyone other than your client looking at your work.  If it is inaccurate in spelling, grammar or punctuation, it reflects poorly on you and may prevent you from getting additional work from this client or from others who read the reviews from the client.

How much can you earn?

In most instances, your ability to make money from home is limited only by the amount of time you want to spend working.  Realistically, you can earn a satisfactory income without endangering your health due to overwork. It may be more important for you to do some living rather than just existing and working from your home can be less stressful in many ways, thus providing you with a higher quality of life quotient. Whether you choose full-time or part time income will also play a role in your overall earnings.

Choose the web site at http://www.goodinternetmoney.com to get a free report for even more accurate, complete and helpful information about how you can Make Money from Home or Make Money at Home. Dozens of ideas to help you in selecting and maintaining your work at home income are available.

Getting Your Articles in Google News – Myths and Facts

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 12-18-09

The Google News team made an interesting post titled “Psst… secrets of Google News exposed!” at official Google blog. The post explained about various Myths and facts related with Google news. Posted by Andy Golding, Software Engineer at Google, Andy also shared about how Google include and publish (rank) articles in Google news.

Coming directly to Myths and facts explained.

1. Updating article once it’s included in Google news helps in higher rankings.

False, According to Google the current Google news crawler doesn’t revisit the articles. Every article/news in crawled only once so changing or updating the article will not help at all in fact any changes you make will not be shown at Google news website. I hope Google news crawler will soon have the functionality of revisiting the WebPages.

2. Placing image next to article improves the rankings.

False, Google do include images in news results and displays them next to your news item, but it cannot read the images and rankings purely depends upon text accompanied in your news item and not on having images in the news.

3. Articles with images and video are not included.

True, Google crawler cannot read flash, videos, images and other such type of multimedia content. Thus it’s a fact that if you new release or article doesn’t contain any text accompanying images or multimedia content then it will not be included at all in news results.

4. Time is a major factor for inclusion.

False, Google crawlers are frequently looking for content related to current event and top stories. There are lots of factors that Google algorithms take into consideration and choose the best articles from the cluster for ranking. Publishing articles prior, after or in midst of any event don’t improve any chances of rankings at all.

5. Articles with Google adsense ads rank high in Google news.

False, well this is the most disputed topic among webmasters not only for Google news ranking but also for Google organic results also. Google had always denied this fact and according to goolge spokesman, “Using AdSense doesn’t have any impact upon our ability to crawl or rank your articles. We try to stay as objective as possible, and giving sites with our ads product a boost, well, that wouldn’t be very objective!”

6. Creating sitemap helps.

True, sitemaps may not help in achieving top rankings but they do definitely help in other way like meta data for our article, specifying category the news would be appear, specifying which articles should appear in google news etc.

7. Redesign or change in site structure may affect my coverage in news rankings.

True, any drastic change in website design or structure, layout etc may cause problems with crawling of your article and hence overall coverage over google new may be affected.

Are You Getting Nuked By Google Lately?

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 12-11-09

Are You Getting Nuked By Google Lately? By: Martin Lemieux

Since the last Google update, there have been many instances and
examples of the Google Nuke Bot! This is what I call it anyway.
Have you visited a favorite website lately only to realize
they’ve been nuked by Google?

More and more we are seeing internet marketing / SEO companies
getting nuked, by Google completely removing them from their
data banks. I am not going to mention any names because I’m sure
the owners of the once populated websites already know and are
embarrassed from this development.

Since the word went out on WebPositionGold getting banned from
Google for automatic queries sent to Google, we are noticing
other related websites going down for the count as well.

For the info on WebPositionGold, go here:
http://www.socialpatterns.com/search-engine-marketing/webposition
-banned/

The things is, we already know about Webpositiongold, what about
other sites that are getting hit hard? Has your site been nuked?

It seems as though, some sites that had thousands of links
pointing from Google are getting hit the hardest. It seems like
Google is cracking down on “spam tactics”, “submission tactics”,
and anything related to unethical SEO practices.

Is Google Making An Effort To Uphold Their Webmaster Guidelines?

Will it come to a point where if we don’t uphold the Google
guidelines, we cannot be successful online? This thought is
ridiculous but almost scary to think it could happen! What about
website’s that still hide text through same background colours?
Hidden div layers? and mirror pages? Why hasn’t Google attacked
those issues first?

You can almost make the assumption that by Google nuking
websites that send automatic ranking & link popularity queries
to their data base, this may be a huge effort to relieve the
strain on the query servers in order to free up some memory.

How Does Getting Your Website Nuked From Google Affect Your
Credibility?

An event like this could ultimately ruin your reputation online.
People who have come to trust your knowledge and judgment on
Google rankings may never look at your company the same ever
again. People might think to themselves “I don’t want to get
nuked like they did!”.

How Can You Tell You’ve Been Nuked?

* Your Google Page Rank is now 0-2/10 and should be at least
5/10 * You have zero backlinks listing in Google anymore * You
have zero internal website listings within Google by doing
(site:www.yoursite.com) * Google’s cache of your website is no
longer to be found

For newer websites, don’t be confused between this nuking
process and your own evolution online. Getting and maintaining a
high PR level takes a lot of work.

Once Nuked, Does Google Still Come Back?

The question I have for websites that have been nuked: Can you
still see Google in your stat log files for your site? If so, I
wonder if Google is still keeping an eye on you and watching
your every move?

In Conclusion:

Stay away from programs that generate automatic queries into
Google. Don’t check your link popularity 3 times a week and
especially don’t check your search engine rankings twice a day.
Just simply promote your website and measure your success
through your internal website stats and monthly profits. Google
doesn’t appreciate websites that consistently draw their power
in order to measure their success, just simply take that out of
your daily actions.

Cheers to your online success!

Getting Into and Around Google Without Getting the Boot!

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 12-11-09

Getting indexed in Google and making our websites available to the world via the top search engine remains one of the biggest challenges for webmasters, myself included! It takes more than just submitting your URL to Google’s directory, so I have taken it upon myself to find out a few things about how Google works, what services it has available, and how to get in, and stay in!

To get your site listed in Google, you will have to submit your URL to their directory, but it will take quite a while for them to get to your site and have it listed and reviewed for a page rank. In the meantime, there a few things you can do that will help get your site noticed. Google has something called “Google Base” which allows you to describe your products or services on your site that Google will make searchable. Because you are using words directly related to your site, this feature can bring you targeted visitors, and may be included in the Google search index and other places around Google. “Google Local” is another feature of Google that will allow you to enter the same type of description of your products and services on your site, but to an even more targeted audience – those people searching for specific products and services in a specific local area. If you are looking for ways to advertise without spending a fortune, this is one way to do it!

As we all know, blogging is becoming one of the most effective ways to advertise online. Google offers something called “Google Blog Search” where you can list and post your blogs for additional traffic to your site, and you can post multiple blogs, a specific blog, or even an entire blog. Since content is what attracts the search engines, both by blogging and submitting articles, Google also has a feature called “Google News” where you can submit articles, along with your picture which will get featured by the top search engine. All it takes is visiting the American Chronicle website, submitting an article, signing up to be a contributor, and submitting your articles that will be syndicated on Google News to the millions of readers every day! You can even submit a press release to Google News via PRLeap, and if you really want to get fancy, you can create and index a video or infomercial for your site that is indexed by Google with “Google Video”. You may want to take advantage of this feature as audio and video feeds are becoming a more and more popular and effective means of reaching customers online.

This all sounds great, and you can be going along thinking everything is fine and dandy, but then suddenly you discover that your site has been banned by Google and you aren’t sure why. One thing that can get you banned from Google, meaning your site cannot be found when searched, is trying to put hidden keywords on your page to get a higher ranking – words that your visitors cannot see, but that the search engines can see. People will cram these words onto their sites in various ways both on the page itself or in the meta tags, or repeat keywords they think will give them a higher page rank but will only get your site banned.

Something else that is bad for your Google Page Rank is linking to a link farm, or a directory of links from everywhere with no real categorization to it, or linking to another banned website. Sometimes you will be linked to a site with good PR, without realizing that that site has actually got hidden or repeat keywords that later get that site blacklisted. Unfortunately you have no way of knowing this is happening to you and thereby decreasing your own page rank unless you check your link partners on occasion to make sure that the sites you are linking to have not been blacklisted by Google. You do want to exchange links and get one-way links pointing back to your site from sites with a higher PR than your own and which are not banned sites.

As you can see, there are many ways to use Google that people are not aware of, if they just visit the Google site and find out what features it has that they can use to their benefit and for free. As long as you stick to the rules in putting your site together, and link to high PR sites, you should be on your way!

Discover the Hidden Secrets On Getting Free Google Traffic

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 12-05-09

Traffic is the life and blood of every internet website. Creating a website is only the beginning. You can get instant templates at www.templates-source.com to get started, but what do you do when you have completed the website. Search engines are fine, but it is a painstakingly tedious process to submit to the search engines. Therefore, you want to find a faster way to get traffic and the answer is google.

Google has paid advertising like adsense or adwords, but there are a few other ways to utilize google to add traffic to your website and these methods are free.

Google news is one of the ways that you can benefit from free google traffic. If you go to http://news.google.com and recommend your website as a newsworthy website and it may be approved by google, but you must keep it updated every 30 days. Another way is submit a press release to www.prweb.com and your site will get listed in google because all press releases from www.prweb.com are listed in google.

http://images.google.com is another free method to use google. If you have existing pictures on your website you can optimize them for google image search. Google describes each image with text and list the source website that carries each image. The key is to use relevant text to describe your images. For example, if you have a cat page and a picture of a cat, you could label it, “free cat pictures” and google will grab this description and your web address and add it to google image.

Having google sitemaps set up will let google know about all your web pages from you site and get them fully indexed. It will also help you to know what is happening with your website as it pertains to google sitemap at http://sitemap.google.com. You will need a google account to set up this feature. You will get detailed reports about the visibility of your website and all your pages. Once you verify that you are the site owner, google will provide statistics, analysis and reports about your site. You will verify your main page by adding meta tags that google will provide after you register. This will help you to stay connected to google site map.

Google base is where you can submit content and have it show up on google. If you go to http://base.google.com you can add all types of content with specific keywords and this will generate lots of free traffic for you. Make sure you pick the right keyword and include it in your title, so people who see the title will click on it to go to your content. You can also add pictures to draw attention to your content. You are also allowed to add your web URL to lead traffic to you. You can also add keywords in your description and in your content.

You can also add google book search to your arsenal of free traffic at http://books.google.com. Even though google carries the entire book, you are also allowed to submit pages of your books or ebooks. Make sure your book has your niche keywords that will get your targeted audience to purchase the entire book. Your book will contain your website address. You can get private label content or your own written content to create an electronic book and submit it to google books. You will need an ISBN number to get the book listed with google books. You can also list the book at http://froogle.google.com as well.

There are a few more tips to getting free google traffic and you can get more information at http://www.freegooglehit.com. This article is written by Cheryline Lawson, Internet Marketer. You are welcome to use this article as long as you keep all the links intact and the resource box.

Chapter 2 – Getting Ready For Your AdSense Account

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 11-02-09

The first step in the preparation process is to have your initial website properly prepared. Please pay attention to the word “properly.” Google has very definite guidelines for websites so reviewing their Terms of Service is crucial to being accepted into the program. If your website does not fall within their established guidelines it will be unceremoniously rejected.

Look specifically for Google’s Program Policies. One item of importance is that Google only accepts completed websites. You are not allowed to have any pages “Under Construction.” Furthermore, check all your links and graphics making sure that all hyperlinks and source links are functioning as they should. Broken links can be a cause for rejecting your website.

Google also has a set of Quality Guidelines to which you must adhere in order to gain an approval. The Quality Guidelines and Program Policies lay forth exactly what is expected regarding your website’s content and other qualifications for membership into Google AdSense. All of these are easily accessible on the Google AdSense website. Granted not many people enjoy reading anyone’s terms of service and policies, but in the case of AdSense it is a necessity.

Second, you need to decide whether you’re signing up as an individual or business. The revenue you generate is taxable and you are advised to seek the counsel of an accountant in making this decision. Google asks whether you are registering as an individual or business.

Third, you need to open a checking account. In the application process Google will ask for information on where they can send your commission checks. It is advised that once you have your AdSense account setup that you switch to automatic deposit.

Once you have taken these three steps you are ready to make your request for a Google AdSense account. One mistake that so many aspiring AdSense publishers make is that they do not read the Terms of Service. Google is very specific about the requirements and they are very diligent in seeing that they are obeyed. If you’re sloppy in the application process and after, you’re experience with AdSense will be very unfulfilling. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to generate income because of laziness or a nonchalant attitude.

Your approval is based only on the initial website submission. After you are approved you can submit as many websites as you like on a variety of topics. This does not mean that you can publish websites contrary to Google’s Terms and Service, but you are given a little more latitude in publishing your websites.

Maybe you don’t have a website but you wish to have an account. If this is the case Google allows you to sign up for a free blog at the company owned website http://blogger.com, allowing you to use this for your website submission. For an easy approval it is suggested that you take this route. Once you are approved then you can begin submitting your other websites.

Don’t spend a lot of money on web hosting services, as there are some great deals on the Internet. A recommended hosting company is Equus Hosting. As part of a good AdSense strategy you want to have a great number of websites. Equus Hosting has a plan that allows you to have unlimited sites for one very low monthly price. In addition, they offer over 50 additional products and have 24/7 customer support.

Getting Started With Adsense

Filed in: Adsense by admin on 10-28-09

A very important element in the rapid adoption of AdSense is that it has been very easy for publishers to get the ads on their site as quickly as possible.

Integrating AdSense in your website takes only a few minutes, and you can be on your way with one or more nicely integrated AdSense ads.

The first thing you need to do is navigate to http://www.google.com/adsense and either apply or log in with your existing account and password. What follows is a page presenting the Google AdSense Terms and Conditions which you must agree to in order to proceed.

You are presented with a report page which you can use to get a detailed status on how your AdSense advertising is doing. This allows you to improve your site’s contents and layout to maximize your AdSense earnings.

On the top of your page you also have link to the setup section where you can generate the code that will need to be pasted on your website in order to have AdSense banners on your page.

You can use AdSense for text (the said ads), using a search box or with referrals. Your choice among these options depends on how users will navigate your site.

Finally, there is a “My Account” tab which allows you to set up details concerning your account, payment and tax information.

To add a text ad on your site, go back to the “AdSense Setup” tab and click the “AdSense for content” link. Make sure you have cookies enabled in your browser.

You can make a choice between ad units and link units. The former contain text and or images concerning a certain site for each unit, most with a detailed description, the latter only contain links to certain types.

Of course, it’s a bit hard to know which type you should use so you should probably experiment with both for a while before you decide.

You can also view an example of how the unit will look to the right of your page. However, you may only use three ad units and one link unit on any given page. This is believed to be a step which Google takes for quality control.

The next step is to choose your add format and colors. You can basically select any color palette you choose with Google offering some of its own if you don’t have the time or skill to create one. You can constantly view how the palette will look through the aid of an example. The one that works best in terms of appearance and revenues will vary with the look, feel and content of a website.

However, your ad formats are limited to a choice of eleven formats. There’s an “Ad Formats” link which takes you to a page that lets you see all even of these in action so you can decide best which one suits your site. Sometimes the most intrusive, doesn’t work best however again, this can vary from website to website.

After you finish with customization, you can click “Continue” from the bottom of the page.

You are now presented with a section entitled “AdSense for Content”. You can click anywhere in the text and that shows the JavaScript required to get AdSense running. This will automatically select the text in the box.

You can then copy it and paste it into your pages directly. If you use dynamic pages, you should paste this code within your template so as to ensure that it gets displayed on any page of your website. Some advertisers choose not to display Adsense on every page, and this is understandable. An example of this is a company that has adsense, may also have terms and condition which would inevitably provide legal resources which would probably be deemed inappropriate.

What is then left for you to do is get content on your page (provided you didn’t have any already). Google AdSense crawlers will soon visit your site, making sure that the ads displayed are relevant to your site’s content.

And you’re all done. For a simple page this should indeed be a matter of a few minutes, which is precisely what makes AdSense the choice for so many. Although it is quick, its mass appeal also makes it the best. Through being the most popular, advertisers and publishers alike see Adsense and Adwords as their natural first choice.
